Lucero is designed to increase emotional regulation skills, self-awareness, confidence, and mindfulness. Our content has been reviewed and approved by trauma-informed therapists from Ensemble therapy who understand the unique developmental needs of children and guided Lucero’s use of evidenced-based concepts inspired by:

  • Trust Based Relational Intervention
  • Solution-focused Therapy
  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
  • Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)
  • Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and
  • Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction

Together we’ve made hard topics and complex methodologies fun, engaging, and bite-sized!

The entire app experience has been designed by and for tweens & teens based on what they care about. It’s an invitation to you from them, to join them in their world. Yes, you can have an Avatar as well, earn Badges, and send Flare!

All content and curriculum is built around our 5 Pillars of Personal Excellence: Mindful Awareness, Belonging and Connection, The Authentic Self, The Hero’s Journey, and Creating Your Reality. Learn more at our foundation, Personal Excellence Foundation. All content within the app has been co-created, reviewed, and approved by clinical therapists from Ensemble Therapy who specialize in working with youth and families.

Lucero has been developed using research-backed methodologies, and we are in the process of capturing and analyzing effectiveness data from early users.

All users will need to create a username and connect their account to a personal email. This is used to manage their account as well as assist in the recovery of lost and forgotten passwords. Other data collected includes profile data like selected strengths, values, preferences, and preferred self-care tools.

All data shared in this app is only used to personalize the user’s app experience. Your individual data will never be sold to third parties or used for advertising. 

There will always be a free Individual account version available. Crew subscriptions will be $10/month. We are committed to building community partnerships to expand access to more youth. Let us know if you have partnership ideas or suggestions!

Creating a Crew is fully optional and not necessary to enjoy the app experience. If your youth is 13 or under, guardian approval is required to comply with COPPA. Guardian approval can be given without needing to formally set up an account.

When creating a Crew, you can see progress stats and whatever else your youth chooses to share to the Crew Log. If your youth is under 13, requests to view data need to be sent to Support@lucerospeaks.com.

Absolutely! Please encourage other families to download the Lucero app via Apple’s App Store.

Lucero requires macOS 11.0 or later and iOS 11.0 or later, and is compatible with iPhone 10+ or later. 

When you open the Lucero, it will guide you through the registration process.

On the login page, please press the Forgot Password button. You can also access this in your account Settings.
You can cancel at any time and have the option to either pause the account or delete all data. Please email Support@lucerospeaks.com.

Go into your Sanctuary and click on your Avatar - it's at the top left of the screen.
